Tom’s business journey began just across the river from the capital of New York, in Troy. He triple majored in Accounting, Business Administration and Management Information Systems at SUNY Plattsburgh. While he wasn’t 100% sure he wanted to chose accounting as his specialty, his multi-faceted education in business revealed accounting as his favorite. Lucky for us, Tom and his wife ventured south to Charleston for new experiences and warmer weather.
Tom began his career with Accountfully in 2019 as a Staff Accountant, working his way up to Manager in four years. In the same year becoming a manager, Tom welcomed his first son, Cullen. This is where the cool story comes in we referenced above. Not only did he get to become a dad that day, but also an Uncle to the son of his wife’s twin sister. Go ahead and re-read that. His wife and her twin gave birth on the same day, both to boys. In fact, it made news in their hometown. A lot of fun is in store for these cousins who now share a birthday and age.

Tom is a fan of the relationships he builds with clients and across the team, internally. This aspect of being an Accounting Manager is what he cites as his favorite part. He enjoys,
“being able to create various relationships that work both ways. I enjoy being able to share what I have learned over the years but also continue to learn from other and new experiences.”
My Dad, you won't ever meet a more caring and compassionate human being. He has been the best role model and who I strive to be every day.
Probably my dog Jax. He is a rescue but turned out to be 100% American Foxhound but has many sides to him from classic hound to cuddle bug to even cat at times.
Plenty of nicknames from the various stages of life, my favorite is Tommy Pickles after the Rugrats character.
When it comes to Karaoke, Tom graciously declines the opportunity. He says,
” Nobody needs to be subjected to the misery of my singing nor do I need the embarrassment.”
Fair enough, Tom, fair enough.
