This month we introduce one of our Texas-based accountants to the world, Ashley Alexander. She is a well-traveled Jiu Jitsu aficionado who is great with both letters and numbers. See how she went from communicating as her specialty to accounting.
But first, a quick origin story. Temple, TX is currently home to Ashley, but she is not a “native” Texan. She grew up—as she says it—all over, but considers her home state to be Illinois. Her dad’s career as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot in the Army kept the family on the move when she was younger.
While her first job may have been in the front of the house at a restaurant, her more professional career began with a degree in Communications from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
The more subtle art of communication may have been her thing in college, but now she is solely focused on the numbers and the black-and-white of the world as an accountant. Let’s get to know the Ashley that is behind the Accountfully scenes!
Ashley kicked off her Accountfully journey in February of 2023 as a Staff Accountant.
“I really enjoy working with numbers and the technical aspects of accounting. I like the attention to detail that it requires and the fact that accounting is something needed in every industry.”

The learning journey that Ashley has traveled at Accountfully has truly made a mark on her as a professional. She says, “I am most proud of being a part of the Accountfully team. Being a part of this team has really refined and stepped up my skills as an Accountant.”
