Every year, our team gathers their best shots from the summer and puts them up for a vote internally across the team, and on social media. Here is a look into some of the adventures our team went on over the summer.
This picture is just one of a few shots of our Teal tumbler and signature hat. Michigan-based accountant, Mandy was grateful to have the hat handy for some added sun shade when her son needed that luxurious on-the-water nap time.
"It was beautiful sunny day for a cruise on the boat in Michigan, Accountfully's hat is multipurpose and provides shade for an afternoon nap!"
Riverbanks Zoo is about two hours north of our headquarters in Charleston, SC. It makes for a great day of fun, history exploration, and animals. The zoo is situated on the historic Saluda River where remains of structures dating back to the early 1800s with South Carolina’s textile industry and the Civil War can be seen. It is also a botanical garden and mini waterpark. Getting back to the picture. Flamingoes are more than just an iconic and pretty tropical bird.
Did you know a group of Flamingoes is called a Flamboyance?
Queens, New York may spark thoughts of Jay Z and the hit sitcom The Nanny, but it is not too far a drive for our Connecticut-based Tax Accountant, Victoria. She is a die-hard sports fan (especially the Rangers) so a run over to NYC is not a hassle at all.
"Went to Citi Field with my Fiancé to root for our favorite baseball team, the NY Mets. The Mets won and I had to bring my Accountfully Koozie for all my drinks at the game."
Just north of our home state in North Carolina, Heather shared this glorious stay-cation. Cherokee is a gem for those who seek adventure. It is located right in Western North Carolina. It’s a base camp for hiking in the Great Smokies, has amazing arts and crafts shopping, native elk herd viewing, hours of fishing fun, and home to a history that spans millennia.
"Pool time in the mountains, keeping (Accountfully client) Navy Hill tequila soda from getting warm!"
Liz brings all the amazing Pacific Northwest-themed adventures. In fact, she won last year's contest with a beautiful floral shot from high atop Mount Rainer in Washington State. This year she went even farther northwest to Alaska, and was found even higher in elevation. She captured some iconic shots from Denali and went "flight-seeing".
"Getting on our flightseeing tour of Denali in Alaska."
Santa Ynez is a hidden gem in the state of California. It is situated in wine country and the Oak tree-dotted rolling hills north of Santa Barbara and just East of Solvang. This area is at the base of mountains and offers a ton of recreation opportunities. This shot was captured on a hiking trail full of the fragrant sage-y brush.
Heading further north in California, we see our water bottle on the beach of Bodega Bay. This special beach is north of San Francisco, getting into the classic Redwood vibes of NorCal. It is also in the heart of wine country on the Sonoma coast. The area is well known for its beautiful beaches, camping, and birding.
